Mini Seedcamp Ljubljana finalists congratz

Today the Mini Seedcamp Ljubljana finalists have been announced and even though I’m unfortunately not amongst them I want to congratulate each and every one of them. You guys rock the business world’s socks off … apparently.

It’s difficult to say why each contestant was chosen, especially because I haven’t taken a long enough look at the list, but it’s quite obvious why my idea wasn’t amongst them. Spelling out why the application hasn’t worked out right now would probably bore you to death so I’ll keep it short – too early.

Yep, I was all giddy and happy about what I was working on and in the process, as has often happened before, failed to notice just at what an early stage it actually was. The main idea behind it, still not implemented, still no user base, nothing. Will definitely have to work on all of these points before I apply again and rest assured, I will apply again.

Except for the whole “You can only apply to one Mini Seedcamp event.” on the application page. Anyone know what exactly this means? Am I screwed until the main Seedcamp in September?

Anyhow, out of the finalists I must say the idea of longurl.net seems best. Nice, simple, big user base and overall excelent for these things. People love simple.

Since there is just one more Mini Seedcamp this year, first week of June in Berlin, you don’t have much time anyway.

Seedcamp applications open end of July anyway so you can use next 2-3 months to work on the product. It’s going to be really soon anyway.

Btw, come to BarCamp and you’ll still have a chance to mingle with most of the Seedcamp finalists.

..hja, ..tak je pa? lajf :) ..ne se sekirat ..nas je še na ducate ostalih, ki nam tud ni uspelo prit noter, pa smo že vse mel implemetirano in delujo?e, pa zastavli leta in leta truda pa denarja..

Bas smo prosli tjedan na opencoffeu u zagrebu razgovarali kako vecina projekata koji su uspjesni danas, su na pocetku bili minimalno 10-20 puta odbijeni, dal od raznih investitora ili da se nisu uspjeli probiti na razne ekosisteme tipa seedcamp. Tako da nema brige, jer prilika ce biti jos jako puno. Sretno sa projektom!

@Jure damn, you’re right. I’m still used to being 19 when a month was a long long time.

@ofi a so mogoce kje objavl kok ducatov nas je takih? Sej supr, 20 finalistov, ampak podatek kok je blo prjavljenih bi zlo v perspektivo dal vse skup.

@Nikola yeah I’ve heard, if everybody loves you then you’re either too late to the game or dead wrong. Or so us sore losers like to think.
