When a person goes to the cinema to watch af ilm they might feel a slight tingle, maybe even feel like they have seen something really good, at some special moment they might even feel engulfed by the action. But when they go to the playhouse it’s a whole different thing. The characters are right there, real, in front of you. The experience is always thrilling and astonishing no matter what your age, gender or taste is. In the playhouse the worst that can happen is that the performance is too artistic for you to understand. In the cinema the worst is being bored and falling asleep.
On Friday I have gone to see the first play in the repertoire of my season ticket at the national playhouse and I lvoed every little bit of it. At first it was a bit what the fuck but then the story sucked me in and it was difficult to get enough. An hour and a half in the short break was very welcome because for some odd reason there is no air conditioning in the hall, but after the whole two and a half hour play was over there was nothing but bewildering awe left in my mind. I could probably just go on and on about this but that would be rather pointless so I’ll just state the thing that was the most noticable.
The actors were pretty standard, there simply aren’t many to be found, and their performance, while good, nothing spectacular. What was really interesting about the whole set up was the scenography. Right fromt he start I could notice a theme; horizontal lines. The background was comprised fully of horizontal planks and when my gaze wondered upon the chairs on the stage I noticed them to be comprised of the same material. The one chair that was faced so you could only see its side had arm rests in order to adhere to the theme. For some strange reason even the sofa was visibly comprised of horizontal parts, which altogether made a very good effect. But I’ll be damned if I can decypher it.
At the scene change, it was a real change, the background was still the same, but the foreground was now made entirely of curves and curvatures. Funnily enough even the happenings on stage seemed more curvy tahn angular and distant as they did before, everthing was more lovable, warm and near; as oposed to the former coldness and distancy.
All in all, when in the playhouse you can’t expect anything but real artism everywhere and in every aspect of everything. Pure beauty.

V majhnih urah jutra razpet si med sencami modrega in temino živo rdeÄega. Ne moreš odloÄiti se ali ustvarjal bi prava dela umetnosti ali lotil se del, ki ti jih šef s pomoÄjo puške nalaga. Obe možnosti sta enako grozni in bi te pustili strganega in pretresenega do kosti.
Ampak eno lahko opraviš skorajda preprosto z aktivacijo programov, drugi pa zahteva, da magiÄno proizvedeš svetlobo iz mrtve svetilke in slabo postavljene neuporabne glavne luÄi. Kaj torej storiš? Ždiš v temi in se utapljaš v samopomilovanju seveda.
Dokler iz predala ne pride mimo osupljiva stripknjiga in ti ukrade delÄek umirajoÄe pozornosti. SkoÄi vate v vsej svoji mogoÄnosti in ko izveš, da je stripar tudi tisti glasbenik Äigar glasbi prisluškuješ že veÄ tednov, si toplo preseneÄen in vesel.
In potem, ko listaš in listaš, odkriješ še polno gostujoÄih striparjev, ki so na knjigi pustili svoj osupljivi peÄat, ljudje kot Maxwell Atoms in drugi podobni geniji… knjiga je preprosto vredna vse tvoje ljubezni in obÄudovanja.

At small hours of the morning you are torn between the shadows of blue and the darkness of bright red. You cannot decide whether to perform true works of art or to go do the work your employer is making you do at gun point. Both are equally sinister and both will leave you torn and shaken to the bone.
But one you can do fairly easily by simply running a few applications, the other requires you to magically produce light from an unworking desklamp and an oddly positioned useless main lamp. What do you do? Sit in the dark and wallow in self pity of course.
Until an amazing comic book from an awesome artist comes along out of the drawer and captures your dwindling attention. It jumps at you with all it’s glory and when you learn the one who makes it also the author of all that awesome music you’ve been listening to for weeks you are warmly surprised and happy.
Then when you flip the pages around you notice amazing guest comics from people like Maxwell Atoms and other such geniouses. The book really is worthy of all your love.

Umetnost, kaj sploh je umetnost? VeÄina bi sklepala, da je to edina dolgo trajajoÄa stvar, ki jo Äloveštvo ustvari. Najstarejši znani dokazi o Äloveštvu so bili svoje Äase le navadna umetnost, obrt, s katero so se ukvarjali neznani umetniki o katerih nihÄe niÄesar ne ve. Seveda ne, bili so le navadne gorile višjega uma. Uma, ki pogine še prej kakor telo, ki ga vklenja. Ja um; prvi podleže perverzijam navadnega življenja, toda v nekaterih uspe preživeti dovolj dolgo, da se udejanji v stvari, ki ji pravimo umetnost.
Kot ste nekateri mogoÄe že opazili, je bila pred polnimi petimi deli stvar imenovana strip obnovljena. Nov del, nove neumnosti privrejo iz uma blaznežev. Ampak novic, o ne, tega pa le nihÄe ne posodobi, vse novice, stare, smrdljive naravnost crkujoÄe. Vsi poroÄajo le še o neumnostih, katere nobenega normalnega Äloveka ne zanimajo. Kje je kdo, ki se sploh še trudi ljudem prinesti Äesarkoli vredne novice? Prazne marnje in krvaveÄe blodnje, koga briga!

Art, what is art? People would conclude that it is the only longlasting aspect of humanity. Why the oldest known relics and what have you were mere art at the time of their conception. But is there anything known of the creators? Of course not, they were mere henchman of the higher being that is mind. The mind that perishes even sooner than the body that entraps it. Yes, the mind, it is the first to sucumb to the deadly perversions of life; in a select few it persists long enough to transfer onto a lasting enough medium to be remembered in the form of pretty art.
As some of you may have noticed the so called comic that resides on this website has been updated a whopping five days ago on an odd Sunday. But the news, oh no, not the news, who updates the news. I mean really, still the news is always only about the vain stupidity of nothing very interesting. There is no real constraint as to what is considered important news anymore, people just get fed some utter bullshit and love it.

V zadnjem èasu je internetno pazljivo oko se ¾e davno umaknilo s Piratov 2, ampak nekateri smo si jih ogledali šele v soboto in zganili svoje riti šele danes, da bi o njih kaj povedali, c’est la vie.
Te¾ko se je odloèiti kam toèno bi uvrstil Pirate 2, na eni strani sem jaz, ljubitelj filmov, ki se dobro poslušajo, se pravi so prijetni za muziciranje v ozadju, na drugi strani pa sem jaz, ljubitelj posebnih efektov in velikih reèi. Prvi pirati so definitivno film, ki se odlièno posluša, veliko dobrega in zanimivega dialoga, ne preveè moteèih elementov in odlièna glasbena podlaga. Pirati 2 to definitivno niso, so èisto nasprotje tega, Pirati 2 so spektakel in za kaj veè bi jih bilo te¾ko jemati. Film je gledljiv nekako v stilu kot je gledljiv na primer Rambo, kaj veè bi pa bilo te¾ko prièakovati.
Kar se tièe samih posebnih uèinkov pa kapo dol. vse skupaj je odlièno izpeljano, uporabljena je zanimiva tehnika, ki je tokrat res prinesla 3D animacije v takih detajlih kot verjetno še lep èas ne bodo standard v filmih. Bral sem tudi nekaj èlankov o postopku dela in stvar je res sapo jemajoèa.
Prišli smo torej do dela novice, ki se dotika septemberskega stripa, še vedno mi je ¾al za poletje brez novih delov.
Strip je dobil lasten storyboard, ki je sluèajno tudi moj prvi. V izdelavo še ni šel, ker moram najprej ustvariti tri dizajne ter se ponovno nauèiti kako se nariše nekatere dotiène stvari, ki so se mi uspele nekako izmuzniti. Mislim, da lahko z skorajšnjo gotovostjo reèem, da bo strip narejen ob pravem èasu, kdaj toèno ta èas je pa naj ostane skrivnost.

The internet’s watchful eye has taken its eye off Pyrates 2 but c’est la vie, I only got to see it on Saturday and have only gotten around to saying something about it today.
It’s hard to decide what to say about this movie, on one side there is the me that is a movie lover and judges movies by how listenable they are. That is to say, can you put the movie in the background and just hearken to it. The first Pirates certainly is such a movie, lots of dialogue and lovely music, awesome, the second, sadly, is far from this. It is a completely new breed of movie, rather then telling a great story with lots of dialogue it is action and special effects packed. It was fun to watch, but in the same way as Rambo was fun to watch… but just not that very great.
As far as the special effects go… hat’s off. Very great work, have read a few articles on how they were done and I was simply amazed by how great it turned out to be.
Now we come already to the part of this news post that has to do with the progress of September’s page, and I’m still very sorry about the summer being updateless.
The new page has been storyboarded (my first) and is well planned out, I just have some concept designs to make and re-learn a certain aspect of drawing which I seem to have misplaced along the way and I am feeling confident that the page will be finished on time… just when exactly on time is, I am not telling lest I jinx it.

No, pa smo tam, novica, ki sem se pred njo skrival ¾e nekaj dni, mogoèe bi pa odšla in nikoli postala resnièna, èisto mogoèe; vendar ni bilo tako. Novica je tu, v vsej svoji velièastni grozi in neumnosti, novica, ki bo obšla svet, ali pa vsaj bralca ali dva.
Torej, brez nadanjega nodlašanja, ka¾e da je gospod Cthulhu postal zelo neèimern, saj se je, kot ka¾e, odloèi, da jo zagode risarju èe nima dovolj velike vloge v nekem dotiènem stripu; stripu, ki se je ustvarjal popolnoma predolgo in je bil zakasnjen, prestavljen, zbrisan mrtev, zaklan in poškodovan… nazadnje pa tudi odpovedan. Res je, prav ste prebrali, odloèil sem se, da stripa ne bo. Popolno unièenje mojega truda se ni zgodilo enkrat, ne, zgodilo se je dvakrat, in ko se je zgodilo drugiè me je vse minilo. Odloèil sem se, da bom preprosto opustil prekleti strip in se raje lotil naslednjega.
Torej sedaj, ko je stran brez stripa, se bom posvetil ustvarjanju dnevnih skic… dnevno O.o … in se kmalu lotil izdelave novega stripa, po mo¾nosti ne prekletega, ki bo izšel septembra.

Here we go, the news I’ve been dreading to tell for some days now, but it has to be told and I have to bear the stupidity of it all, so no use postponing, oh no, no use for that at all, nope, no use. Stopping procrastination mode… now.
The bad news, yes it is a piece of rather bad news, rancid ones almost. The news in question is that Cthulhu seems to have grown rather vain and has decided to mess with the artist if he doesn’t get enough of an appearance in a certain comic. The comic in question is the page that has been going on rather long enough and has been delayed postponed, dead and broken and finally… canceled. Yes that’s right, I’ve decided to simply not finish the page. Some force has ruined my work not once, but twice and when it happened last Thursday I finally decided… you know what… screw this.
Without the page I will take care to produce daily sketches… daily and will be starting work on September’s page rather soonly and hopefully that one will fare better than the canceled one.
