V petek sem nabavil nov telefon, ker je staremu postalo čisto nemogoče zaupati. Nesramna reč se je namenila ugašati v trenutku, ko sem hotel dvigniti slušalko …

Nova pridobitev je prijetni Sony Ericsson V630i s katerim sem, moram reči, zaenkrat zelo zadovoljen. Počne vse, kar potrebujem in veliko česar ne. Odlično je, da se zna pretvarjati, da je prenosni glasbeni predvajalnik, kar bo močno uredilo težave s prostorom v mojih žepih. Žalostno pa je, da sem moral zapraviti dodatnih 70€ samo za pridovbitev solidnih kompatibilnih slušalk in gigabitne spominske kartice.

Druga reč, ki me zelo moti, je prenos datotek. Ko telefon priklopiš na USB oznani, da se je začel polniti. Zakaj, torej, je baterija močno odžrta, ko je prenos končan? In zakaj vraga mora biti prenos tako na hudičevo počasen? Mogoče kdo sovraži linux?

On Friday I acquired a new cell phone because the old one was beginning to be quite too untrustworthy. The blood thing would shut down when I wanted to answer a call and other such idiocy.

The phone I got is the lovely Sony Ericsson V630i and I have to say I'm very pleased with it thusfar. It does everything I need it to do and a lot of what I don't need it to do at all. The good thing is it can double for a portable music player and thus help in decluttering my pockets. It's silly though that I had to spend an additional 70€ just to buy a pair of decent compatible headphones and a one gigabyte large memory stick.

Another thing that really bothers me is file transfer. When you plug the phone in the USB it begins to charge, all fine and well, when the transfering is over the battery is eaten quite a lot. WTF? And why does the transfer itself have to be this bloody slow? Is somebody hating linux perhaps?

Ne vem kaj je narobe z Weird Alom ampak nekako ne odneha s polkaziranjem dobre glasbe. Video prikazuje eno njegovih polk popolno sinhronizirano z originali katerih besedila je pokradel in priredil. Stvar vam preprosto mora biti všeč, ni druge izbire.

I don't know what is wrong with Weird Al but he won't stop polkaing good music. The embedded video is of a collage of things he polkad in one of his songs matched synchronised perfectly with the originals. It's something you have to love, just have to.

Včeraj mi je sodelavec podal povezavo do typetesterja – orodja, ki bi ga moral vsak spletni designer uporabljati pri svojem delu. Omogoča namreč preizkušanje različnih pisav pri različnih velikostih in barvah in, povrhu vsega, še lepo izgleda, kar je za uporabna orodja velika redkost.

Skozi commissioned oz. njih blog, sem odkril tole lepo stvarco, ki namerava postaviti vse od največjega do najmanjšega v razmerje. Razvijalec bi moral malce bolj pomisliti na uporabnike, ker se zadeva premika močno prepočasi, hkrati pa se med prikazom zanimivosti ne neha premikati zaradi česar se marsikaj spregleda.

It basically lets you test and try different fonts at different sizes, background and colours, plus, on top of it all, it featuers a rather good looking design – never has a tool looked this good.

Včeraj me je prijelo, da bi se naučil metati karte in tako sem se odpravil na širni internet v iskanju informacij o tem, ker, kot vsi vemo, na internetu je vse. Moram reči, da sem se v dejanje zaljubil, čeprav sem komaj sposoben vreči karto s kakršnokoli hitrostjo kaj šele natančnostjo. Še vedno je zabavno in priporočam vsakomur kot antistresor.

Last night an idea came over me to learn how to throw cards and so I went in search of information online because as we all know information on anything can be found online. I have to say that I've fallen in love with it even though I'm still hardly able to make the cards fly with any kind of proper speed let alone having hte ability of targeting. Preko MSNja mi je bila pokazana povezava. Zanimiva povezava. Govori se, da vsebuje skrivnost izdelave Cthulhuja iz papirja, skupaj z izrezki in dvoumnimi navodili, točno kot bi si človek želel. Edina težava je, da slike niso v visoki ločljivosti zatorej rezultat ni videti preveč rožnat.
