Running bloody hurts

When they say that the second time you go running hurts the most, they sure aren’t kidding. My second running expedition felt like shitting bricks atop a rollercoaster slamming into a wall at full speed with swallows carrying coconuts around.
But let me start at the beginning. This week I decided to take a little vacation, not a real vacation mind you, but a week away from the gym while I go visit my girlfriend a full … oh gosh … 20 kilometers away. It was a fun little trip I must say, do love the fact they have air conditioning that was fucking awesome.
Oh right, the running. Well it turns out that even before I managed to go I started missing the gym (this was about 12 hours after I’d last gone) and started contemplating what could be done in gym’s stead to keep at least a little bit in shape and the obvious solution was running.
There’s nature all around us over there, most of the nature is rather flat which makes it gorgeous for running and, lovelier still, I could force some exercise down my dear’s throat. Win-win!
Well not, those gym orbitrek things that I thought I was pretty good at? NOTHING! Absolutely nothing in comparison to running! See, I don’t actually have any good running shoes, I don’t even actually have any good shoes at all, so I have to employ this really strange running technique that’s very very near to how you’d run barefoot. This of course puts incredible strain on my calfs. And it hurts. Hurts a lot.
Mind you, running doesn’t hurt the calfs quite as much as lifting twice your body weight with them a few times at the gym, but it does hurt in a different way. I think it’s simply that all the training has made them a bit strong, but not at all durable – so running hurts like hell.
But nevertheless, I shall be running every day for the foreseeable future despite still going to the gym every day. Especially since with the summer here and how it’s shaping up to be I could go to the gym in the morning’s and then run in the evenings – don’t try convincing me I should run early mornings, that’s when I sleep.
So anyhow, does anyone perhaps know any good running routes starting off from Ljubljana center? I wouldn’t exactly like running through where the crowds chillaxing over drinks are though … in fact I’d hate that.

or for fuck's sake stop reading this already,
no?
